Signature Outdoor Series - D2 steel is an air hardening, high carbon, and high chromium tool steel possessing extremely high wear resisting properties. D2 steel is commonly used in the machining industries to manufacture dies and punches that repeatedly cut other materials. D2 Steel is extremely tough and durable! The high chromium content provides good corrosion resistance, (but it can and will rust if it is not properly taken care of). The blades are heat treated to a 62 Rockwell hardness and are guaranteed to retain their factory edge for extended periods of heavy use. When it does come time to re-sharpen, the blades will hone to a razor edge. In our professional opinion, there is nothing better than D2 steel. The following Signature Outdoor Series features North American Deer and Elk antler handles in your choice of crown/burr or beam/'elk stick' style.

Note: The following Signature Outdoor Series models include a very high-quality leather Pouch or Hand-laced Snap sheath. In general, blades under 5” include a Pouch sheath that has both vertical and horizontal belt carry options and lanyard tie that secures the knife to the sheath.  Select models with Blades over 5” include an upgraded hand-laced snap sheath.

Regardless of blade length, a few of the following have both sheath design options, and you will have the opportunity to specify the sheath design you would like by selecting Pouch or Snap from the drop down box on the item page before adding the knife to the cart.
